IEF  Scholarships are international students’ scholarships provided to identify and support outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, high intellectual capacity, sound character, strong leadership potential, and a passion for creativity and innovation.

There are three types of IEF Scholarships awarded to outstanding international students pursuing middle-school and high-school programs in IEF partner schools. Interested international students should submit via one common scholarship application to IEF to be considered for one of the following:

(i) the IEF Global Merit Scholarship is targeted at prospective IEF students with excellent academic records in their home countries,

(ii) the IEF Martial Arts Scholarship is targeted at prospective IEF students with good academic records and outstanding martial arts achievements, and

(iii) the IEF Entrepreneurship Scholarship is targeted at prospective IEF students with good academic records and outstanding entrepreneurship achievements.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be International Students (Non-USA students)
  • Have strong leadership qualities and potential
  • Have a good co-curricular activities records
  • Possess outstanding GPA score
  • Be applying for admission to an IEF partner school

Terms & Conditions 

  • The scholarship is offered to enroll in a program with IEF’s partner schools, and is tenable for the normal course duration.
  • Recipients of the scholarship (scholars) may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance without prior approval from IEF
  • The scholarship will be monitored and renewed every semester provided the scholar maintains a Grade Point Average (GAP) of at least 4.0 (or equivalent) and good conduct.
  • Scholars will be required to take part in community involvement programs or projects deemed appropriate and/or directed by IEF
  • If the scholar decides to withdraw from IEF partner school and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, IEF reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed to the scholar.

Application & Shortlisting Process

  • The common online scholarship application for IEF Scholarships, will open from 1 November to 31 December (for Spring Semester) and 1 June to 31 July (for Fall Semester) every year. Scholarship applications can be submitted only after applications for admission to IEF have been submitted.
  • Applicants are required to submit supporting documents (including academic results, records and certificates of achievements) at our uploading facility, after completing the online scholarship application. One referee report is to be submitted online separately by your current teacher.
  • IEF Scholarships applicants will be assessed on their suitability for the scholarships, based on the strength of their applications and their performance in the scholarship selection interview(s), if shortlisted.
  • Applicants shortlisted for selection interview(s) will be informed via e-mail. Selection interviews will be conducted from January/ August onwards, and applicants will be informed of their scholarship application outcomes by end-January/ end-August.
  • IEF reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained
